No. An account here is a login for this website: a name to post and message under. It is not club membership, it is not reviewed by anyone, and creating one does not enroll you in the organization. The only check on the way in is that the address you registered with actually receives mail.

Registration only accepts an address ending in @up.edu.ph (or a subdomain of it). That is the whole membership check this site is able to run on its own, and it keeps the walls to the people they are for.

No. Make a new one just for this site. This site asks for a UP address because that is who it is for, but it is not run or vetted by the university, and reusing your UP password here would put it in a database UP never agreed to. The only requirement on this end is length: at least 10 characters.

Go to FORGOT PASSWORD and enter the UP mail your account is registered under. If it matches an account, a reset link is sent to that address. The link works for one hour, and following it lets you set a new password. Nothing is sent to any other address, and the page says the same thing either way, so it can't be used to check whether an email is registered.

SOMAJIN is a label, not a role. It appears once you've found and entered the officers' passphrase somewhere on the site, the same act that opens the OFFICERS page for you. It carries no permissions, doesn't show up in the admin panel, and is deliberately not a step toward becoming an officer: officers are appointed separately, by people who already have the authority to do that.

Your alias is the handle you chose when you registered (3–32 characters. Letters, numbers and underscores only. No spaces, no dots, no dashes.). It's permanent: it's how the walls address you and how people find your profile, so it can't be changed after the fact. Your display name is different: it's optional, can be up to 64 characters of almost anything, and is shown in place of your alias wherever the site names you. Set or clear it from MY PROFILE at any time.

Every post to a wall is held for an officer to approve before anyone else can see it. You'll still see it yourself on the wall while it waits, but nobody else will until it's approved. There's no fixed turnaround built into the site; it appears whenever an officer next opens the queue. If a post is turned down instead, only you can see that too, and only you know why.

Yes, there's a switch for it in the composer. It hides your name from everyone else who reads the wall. Officers reviewing the post still see who wrote it, since someone has to be accountable for what gets approved.

It's flagged for an officer's attention. Nothing happens automatically: the post stays up until and unless an officer decides to take it down.

Your own private collection, at SAVED. Use SAVE on any post to keep it there. Nobody else can see your saved list, and the people whose posts you save are never told.

Up to 8 MB on this server right now, and that number already accounts for whatever this particular server allows, so if it's smaller than you expected, the server is the reason. Anything within that limit but larger than 1600 pixels on its longest side is scaled down to fit. Accepted formats are JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP.

Only when uploaded as your avatar or cover, on a wall post, or in a chat message. Everywhere else, only the first frame survives, because re-encoding an upload down to its pixels is what makes it safe to serve, and that step flattens animation along with it.

Message someone you haven't talked to before, and it lands in their Requests tray rather than their inbox until they accept it. Accepting moves the conversation to their inbox, where you can both talk normally; declining removes it. Nothing you send arrives in their main inbox before they've accepted.

Open the conversation with them and use BLOCK THIS PERSON from the options menu. Blocking stops the conversation in both directions: neither of you can send another message in it, whichever of you did the blocking.

Same options menu, REPORT THIS CHAT. A conversation is private between the two of you. Officers can only read it if someone in it reports it. Reporting doesn't block the other person on its own; block them separately if you also want the conversation to stop.
